Research & Development

The departments of the institute are involved in research activities, in order to contribute and benefit from the advances in knowledge frontiers, which will help to generate state-of-the-art technologies responding to the needs of the country.

Manually Operated Pesticide Machine —Manish Rathore a final year student of Mechanical Engineering Department invented a “Manually Operated Pesticide Machine ” which is very useful for farmers. This machine has been exhibited in Innovation Gallery of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

SMART HELMET—Himanshu Garg a Electronics & Communication student to develop “SMART HELMET” for two wheeler. He is received cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh from Chief Minister Sri Akhilesh Yadav for developing a technology that ensures two wheeler cannot start until the rider straps on a helmet.

SMART NIGHT VISION ROBOT- Ashish Gautam a Mechanical Engineer student to developed an innocuous looking gadget (SMART NIGHT VISION ROBOT) which can detect suspicious activity and send real time inputs to its master. The robot operates out a humble shoe box and has 360 degree surveillance capability.

  2. One research project sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi has been successfully completed under Prof. Birbal Singh in the Faculty of Engineering Et Technology. The objective of this project was remote sensing of the low latitude ionosphere through whistler technique.

  3. One research project sponsored by Ministry of Earth Science (MoES), New Delhi has been completed under Dr. O.P. Singh in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The objective of this project was to study the ULFNLF electromagnetic emissions as precursors of earthquakes. This project was under the umbrella of National Programme on Earthquake Precursors (NPEP), in which a collaborative study of ULF/VLF precursors was carried out at national level.

  4. One research project sponsored by Ministry of Earth Science (MoES), New Delhi has been successfully completed recently under Dr. O.P. Singh in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The objective of this project was to monitor the electromagnetic emissions of ULFNLF range associated with earthquakes.

  5. One research project sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi has been completed recently under Dr. O.P. Singh. The objective of this project was to study the ionospheric alterations related to earthquakes using GPS receiver.

  6. One research project sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi on Study of Schumann Response Phenomenon in the Earth-Ionosphere Cavity has been completed under Dr. O.P. Singh, Department of Physics, Faculty and Engineering &Technology.

  7. The Department of Food Engineering & Technology has been approved as a research centre for Ph.D. by the U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. Presently Research Scholars are pursing their Ph.D. related research work in the well equipped labs here.

  8. Regular online workshops in different fields of Engineering and science are conducted in collaboration with IIT’s using A-View mode under Continuous Education Programmexponsored by MHRD, Government of India.
